It does what it's supposed to do BUT just put a small object under it before you put it in your cup holder. The ventilation holes are on the bottom and lower sides. I actually glued a small pencil eraser to the bottom of the unit. now there is no chance of the holes being blocked.
Other than that, it works great!

Cons:
Somewhat Loud... noticeable with normal conversation.
Air in-take at the bottom, so you better not put this in a tight cup holder.
Smells bad when first used.

As you can see from the picture, this stand consists of four legs, four upper brackets, four lower brackets, and a table board.

I started by attaching the upper brackets to the legs. When I went to attach the lower brackets, I found that there was so much material projecting beyond the bolt holes that they would not fit inside the legs. I spent two hours at a bench grinder removing about 1/4" of steel from each end of each of four lower brackets to get them to fit. Then I had to paint the ground-off areas to keep them from rusting.

Once I finally got the stand assembled, I went to bolt on the table board and found that the mounting holes in the board were off by a full TWO INCHES compared to the holes in the stand. Back to the drill press for more modification.

Folks, these parts simply do not fit together. Delta should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for allowing a product like this to get to market. This borders on outright fraud. And Amazon, you should TAKE THIS PRODUCT OFF YOUR WEBSITE IMMEDIATELY until Delta fixes their design and/or manufacturing problem. Customers, PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT until you see a review here or an announcement by Amazon that the problems I and other reviewers have outlined have been fixed.

It is really pathetic that a once-proud American company like Delta cannot design and build a simple four-legged stand without screwing it up this badly. I am only rating it one star because there is no option to rate it what it deserves, a ZERO.

I ordered it and when it came the box was opened and parts were missing. I figured maybe atleast they would have put it back in the box or UPS wouldn't deliver it but i was wrong. I have called and are suppose to recieve the parts. We'll see when i get them. Other then that I like delta products very much.

I always read these reviews before buying anything on here. But for some reason I didn't on this stand, as I needed one to go with my new planer and this one was recommended. I finally read all of the reviews after I purchased it and I was afraid that I would have the same problem that many others did when it came to putting it together. However, that was not the case at all.

I spent a total of about 30 minutes putting this together. Everything fit together perfectly. I didn't have to file, grind, drill, or adjust a thing and all of the hardware was there. So I guess if there was a problem before maybe Delta has straightened it all out.

As to the quality, it's great. Heavy gauge metal, carriage bolts everywhere, and a great finish on everything. The top is very thick and sturdy. My new 22-580 planer bolted right to it, with hardware included with the stand.

The manual for my planer recommended either the 50-322 or the 50-326 stands, but I bought this one because of the top that it has, which the 50-326 does not have, the planer just mounts to the top rails of the stand.

One thing that Delta could do to make this better is to include a center shelf for it, after all it has the brackets on the lower cross members already. I'll make one for myself

This is very good quality tubing. The tolerances are rather tight. I have bought quite a few different sizes of this stuff and it has been very consistent. The length is always over spec by at least 1/4" and usually 1/2". I don't use this in the "telescoping" mode so I am not able to comment on that. Good stuff!!
