My new, superior lightweight Hoover vacuum cleaner is designed for these bags. The cost more than a paper filter bag, but are claimed to last longer, as they have a higher capacity.

However the facts are vacuum cleaner bags should be changed after the second or third whole house use, as they can smell in the closet and especially when used the next time.
Even with these new bags you can smell a bit of what the vacuum is picking up. This does not occur with the regular Hoover paper bags. Consumer Reports down-rated my formerly top-rated vacuum because of this.

As an not satisfied engineer, I was successfully able to insert and lock in place an inexpensive Hoover type Y paper bag into my new lightweight Hoover vacuum cleaner. Now there is no smell! Expensive HEPA filtration was claimed to be the best, but I find the exact opposite to be true, at least in this case. Now I'm not paying more for less performance. I'm happy!
Anyone who does not find this review helpful must work in the in*dust*ry. Give them a good cough!

Good quality but, expensive. There are no non-OEM manufactures of this product to date. So Hoover is able to charge a premium for this product.
